Another one joins the family!
We're excited to share that Kris Barros is our new VP – Compliance. He joined us a few weeks ago and is already an integral part of our team.
Kris has held several senior-level compliance, regulatory and audit, and marketing positions throughout his career. Most recently, he worked as the Marketing Compliance Manager for Guaranteed Rate in Chicago. He was previously employed at Santander Bank (Massachusetts), Embrace Home Loans, and East West Mortgage Company.
In his new role with us, Kris will oversee the compliance management system. He will be focused on maintaining company compliance with all federal and state requirements. Plus, Kris will assist with the development, design, and implementation of policies and procedures that will help us maintain regulatory compliance. (Basically, a fancy way of saying: he will make sure we stay on track with the rules!)
So, when it comes to working for us, what is Kris looking forward to the most?
"I'm excited to work for a company that is big enough to positively impact the lives of homeowners with great service and products, but not so big that the sense of community or 'family' among its employees is missing."

If you're not already impressed with his accomplishments, maybe this will do it: Kris earned his J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law. He also graduated with a B.A. in Politics and Criminal Justice from Salve Regina University.
When Kris isn't working, he spends most of his free time fishing with his son, helping his kids with their cars, or playing with his dogs. (Who doesn't love a dog-lover?)
