Announcing Jeff McGuiness, New President & CEO at Waterstone Mortgage
A few weeks ago, we announced Jeff McGuiness would be joining Waterstone Mortgage as our President & CEO, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome him to the WMC family this week.
Jeff has more than 30 years of experience in the mortgage lending industry, including executive and c-suite roles. Prior to joining Waterstone Mortgage, he held management roles at Embrace Home Loans, Lenders One, and within CitiMortgage’s Retail and Correspondent businesses.
As President & CEO, Jeff will collaborate with our executive management team to lead all aspects of Waterstone Mortgage’s business and corporate functions, something he says he looks forward to most in this new role. “Great companies are made by great people. I’ve been so impressed with everyone I’ve met so far, and I’m excited to get to know more members of our team,” Jeff said.

Jeff is motivated by improvement – making things better at an organizational level and encouraging personal growth in anyone he works with.
When he’s not immersed in all things mortgages, the St. Louis native likes to spend time being active with his wife and two sons. Whether it’s working out, hiking, yoga, or golf (especially golf), he’s always on the move. Jeff is also a major supporter of Ranken Jordan Children’s Hospital, and previously sat on their board for five years.

Q: What are you currently binge-watching?
A: I’m anxiously waiting for the next season of Yellowstone. Currently absorbed in The Queen’s Gambit.
Q: Are you a dog person or cat person (or neither)?
A: Definitely dogs
Q: What is your favorite movie of all time?
A: That’s a tough one, as I love good movies. If I had to narrow it down, I think The Shawshank Redemption would edge out The Godfather.
Q: What is your go-to coffee order?
A: Black – nothing else, preferably as dark of a roast as possible.
Q: What location is on the top of your travel wish list?
A: I would like to spend some time in Ireland, enjoying the land, history, and people… and a few of their golf courses!
