Socorro M Rodriguez
Socorro Rodriguez has nearly 25 years of experience in the mortgage lending industry, including roles in processing, closing, shipping/funding, account representation, and loan origination. She also has a 25-year background in financial services, working in roles as a consumer lender, credit department associate, teller, collections specialist, finance manager, and bookkeeping/payroll specialist. All these specialties have given Socorro a well-rounded understanding of mortgage lending.
As a bilingual professional, Socorro serves both English and Spanish-speaking homebuyers. Her greatest strengths are her attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and superior communication with customers. Socorro works well under pressure and enjoys finding loan solutions that suit her clients’ unique situations. She offers a variety of home loan options, including conventional, FHA, and VA loans — as well as first-time homebuyer mortgages and down payment assistance and bond programs.
Through Waterstone Mortgage, Socorro has the ability to lend in 48 states; and she primarily serves homebuyers in southern New Mexico and the greater El Paso, Texas region. Her favorite part of her role is seeing first-time homebuyers achieve their dreams. While she was preparing to retire, she made the decision to stay in the mortgage business, because of her passion for working with homebuyers.
In her free time, Socorro enjoys being with her husband and children. Her family grows pecans in Dona Ana County, and she loves cooking for others. Socorro also supports several local charities, such as La Casa, Inc. (which supports victims of domestic violence) and Las Cruces Gospel Rescue Mission (a homeless shelter). She holds an associate degree in Clerical/Bookkeeping/Payroll.
